Answers:
I own done this using adhesive backed feel I bought at the store and it worked very well. The logo I used be a Michigan State Sparty on a table top. It ironed on easily. I used a very hot iron near a lot of pressure and did it as fast as I could to avoid too much bleeding.
The feel took the transfer with little bleeding and it looked great.
Good luck next to the table.
I've honestly never tried this.
However, you could run a test case: gain a 12" square of craft felt from an arts and crafts store and try it first. That way you'd at lowest possible know if it'll mess up the felt or not and what the finished product will look like.
