Anyone know where on earth I can find information on making a bet?

I want to find statistics on how much money is wagered gambling on the lottery, at casinos, internet poker, and other forms of gaming each year. Also, I would like to know the total revenue generate and problems that legalized gambling creates for society. Also, how much money is gambled on sporting events resembling the Super Bowl. I am giving a short talk on gambling within America for extra credit and I just want to go over a bunch of statistics.
Answers:
You could start in the Poorhouse.
For some of this information, especially local to your area, you could call your nearest casino. Most casinos enjoy a whole marketing department that could help answer a great deal of questions. I work in a casino and am unshakable that our casino would provide you any information that we had available.

On the other hand, if you merely want to find some quick and dirty answers, I attached a couple of links to some interesting sites.
I put a site that chronicle gambling stats. It's not very sophisticated since it is from a psychologist.
The University of Nevada Las Vegas have a "center for gaming research"
