Hi!... i got an email from someone too stating that i won their lottery too.. i guess it won't hurt if you check on them. But if they ask for any payment whatsoever, dump it!...
its a scam its false advertising
If you buy this scam you have probably already answered the Nigerian letter.
No. If you won a prize this big they would not notify you by e-mail. You would find a representative knocking at your door with TV cameras behind him.
There have been many instances of this lately, but from my understanding, it is yet another scam, and should be promptly reported to Yahoo Admin. for scrutiny
So how do you contact them?
Reply to the email with your full bank details, including all passwords and PIN numbers, and then sit back and watch the contents of your bank account get transferred to an anonymous account in Russia (or similar).
Also, expect a string of bills as someone on the other side of the world uses your credit cards etc to buy stuff.
Conversely, you could just delete the email and learn a couple of valuable lessons:-
[1] There's no such thing as a free lunch,
[2] If it seems to be too good to be true then it probably is,
[3] There is a sucker born every minute - don't let it be you.
It is spam ignore it.
Yahoo does not run a lottery.
Why the hell would anyone just collect random e-mail addresses and send them money?
It is definitely a scam. They will try to get information to steal your identity (phishing scam) or try to get an advance fee to collect your winninigs (advance fee aka."419" scam). Avoid.
Contact Yahoo and ask them.
Could be a phishing scam. Most probably if they want your bank details.
delete it! big scam!
I got one from S.Africa and our members informed me it is a scam , best to ignore it or else u will find yr bank account drained empty.
