Rythizzle above was on the right track he just picked the wrong man. The answer to you question is, that it depends on what man and what wolf. A trainer in a police canine unit who knows how canines attack would probably have the skills and knowledge to win that fight even without the hockey stick. As for what wolf? In the wild if you are even in a half mile of a wolf you would probably never know it because they would smell you and move off before you ever saw them. However since we are doing what-ifs, If it's the middle of winter, the wolf is starving and you just happen to be wandering around in the mountains by yourself with a hockey stick (not likely or a good idea), and providing the wolf is not in a pack which you would hear coming and just climb a tree. Then, that wolf may actually try to sneak up on you and attack from close quarters with little or no warning. In that very unlikely scenario I would put my money on the wolf. Anyway, this is all hypothetical unless you have a hockey stick and know a wolf you want to pick a fight with, but I've had fun writing this and I hope you enjoy reading all your answers.

A wolf would definately win bc they live in the wild and are carnivorous animals--they have to hunt to survive. A hockey stick wouldn't do it unless the animal was tranquilized first.
